Acupuncture is a complete medical system in itself, and is also an excellent compliment to almost any other treatment, including western pharmaceuticals and surgery, herbal therapies, massage and chiropractic care.
HOW IT WORKS (video explaining how acupuncture works)
Acupuncture stimulates the flow of energy or “QI” circulating along meridians throughout our body. These meridians, or energetic pathways, are directly linked to our body’s organs. By stimulating key points along these meridians, symptoms can be treated to restore balance and health. Acupuncture is a treatment that encourages the patient’s body to cure itself. It is one of the oldest medical procedures in the world providing a pleasant and relaxing experience that embodies diet and life style, helping us to look, to listen and to feel the bodies natural propensity for well being.
~ Very fine, medical grade disposable needles are inserted into specific points on the body for approximately 20-30 minutes.
~ Treatments are usually painless and most patients become deeply relaxed.
~ A single acupuncture session lasts approximately 60 minutes.
~ Number of treatments needed? Depends on the condition being treated, but generally range from 2-8 treatments to start seeing results. A specialized treatment plan will be created to outline your treatment.
What conditions do we treat with acupuncture?
**Please note that you do not have to be ill or in pain to receive acupuncture treatments. Acupuncture is great for balancing the body’s systems, reducing stress, promoting general resiliency and boosting the immune system.**
Be proactive with your health and receive regular acupuncture treatments!

CONSULTATION & 1st APPOINTMENT*
*the very detailed health history form MUST be complete at least 24hrs prior to your appointment to allow the practitioner time to review and begin an assessment and treatment plan.
If this is not done, we may not have time for a full Acupuncture treatment during your initial consultation appointment.
It is this format that allows us to keep the consultation/initial appointment at the same fee as returning visits.
During the initial consultation, your practitioner will administer a thorough health history check to obtain all of the pertinent information necessary to provide you with a safe and effective treatment plan.
At this time, you will also have the opportunity to discuss your health and wellness goals, providing your practitioner with an even clearer understanding of what you hope to achieve with your TCM Acupuncture experience.
A custom health & wellness plan will then be carefully assembled, and treatments to fulfill the plan can then begin.
Your first actual appointment will commence immediately following your health history and treatment consultation.

Follow-up appointments are the subsequent appointments after your Initial Consultation Appointment.
