Is your child, teenager or you dealing with anxiety, mood swings, autism, special needs, grief, chronic pain , difficult transitions or dementia?
Life can be tough these days.
I am Stephanie, an Expressive Arts Therapist and registered Counsellor, and would love to support you in navigating life’s challenges. I welcome you into a safe space, listen carefully to meet you where you are at and nudge you gently beyond an edge expanding your horizon.
And what’s good? I consider creativity and playfulness an important part of the healing journey. Realizations and clarity for change surface in surprising ways through inner expressions. A good dose of humor is essential to learning new ways of responding to difficult situations. Whether we talk, doodle, play a game, get down on the floor, dive into paint or form clay: Therapy with me is nurturing and fun!
Since 10+ years, I support children and teenagers with autism, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, and challenging behaviors in the school system, and have breathed art since the day I was born. I completed a Master in Expressive Arts Therapy and a Diploma as a Professional Counsellor.
My approach is person-centered, integrating the arts with transpersonal, somatic and narrative informed counseling therapy - tailored to each individual need. While I have a passion for young people, I have worked with families, adults, persons with special needs and seniors for 20 years.
I offer my services in person in Barrhead, Woodlands County and virtually. accommodating rural distance and providing more availability.
Get in touch for a 20 min free introductory call to share about what you are looking for and see if what I offer is a fit.
